Membership is open to anyone with a professional interest in Refrigeration or Air Conditioning. If you wish to join the Institute of Refrigeration Ireland, please download a copy of the membership application form and follow the instructions given on the form.

In order to apply, you simply need to complete Sections 1 through 4 on the first page of the form. Section 2 on this page applies to students only. The remaining three pages include further optional sections which you may or may not need to include. These additional sections will assist in enabling the Council to determine a suitable membership grade but they are not mandatory for membership application.

Grades of membership currently available are: Member, Associate Member, Affiliate and Student. Candidates do not apply for a particular grade of membership. Candidates are elected to a grade which the Council feels is appropriate in the light of the candidate’s technical, academic and practical achievements. Each application is considered individually by the Membership Committee when being allocated to a grade. A detailed explanation of the membership criteria is given on the membership application form.

Membership Renewals

If you are already a member, you should receive a membership renewal invoice under a cover letter inviting you to renew your membership in 2012. If you haven’t received this, the contact details we have on file for you may be inaccurate. Please contact Colin Huggett in the Membership office and ask him to update your details. Thank you.
